Freight Audit Manager, APAC

Job Scope and Responsibilities

This position reports to the Logistics Solutions Manager and is responsible to provide dedicated account support services to a key client. The individual supports the Logistics Solutions Manager to ensure smooth and fully compliant freight bill audit and payment operations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree. Major in business, logistics sourcing, supply chain management, financial accounting/audit.
  • 5 year working experience in relevant area

Responsibilities

  • Project Management & Operations:
    1. Manage a small team of client service freight auditors to resolve exception/issues escalation across client APAC plants.
    2. Lead new plant-supplier onboarding, track and report project milestones
    3. Maintain standard operating procedures for Asia Freight Audit and drive the adoption of standard blueprint solution, reduce exceptions, lead change management
    4. Propose solutions/workaround for scenarios outside of the blueprint solution, or enhancement to improve existing freight audit process.
    5. Lead post-audit activities and report cost leakages
    6. Support financial audits with supporting information, audit history (e.g. SOX)
    7. Manage relationship between APAC and client, organize quarterly/annual business reviews
  • Data Analytics:
    1. Gather client’s data for metric reporting from all tools available, including PowerBI, Excel
    2. Analyze client’s data to provide actionable insights, drive improvements internally and externally
    3. Define reporting requirements for client programming/IT with regards to metrics and test systems and reporting
  • This position is essential to be dynamic to perform additional responsibilities as assigned by reporting manager (estimated 10% of Time).

Required Skills

  • Good computer skills, hands-on and able to quickly learn how to use new systems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, Word, PowerBI).
  • Excellent command of English and Mandarin (spoken and written).
  • Background in logistics, shipping industry and finance/accounting is an advantage
  • Resourceful and capable of working with large datasets to drive key actionable insights
  • Result-oriented with excellent interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving, critical-thinking & communication skills.
  • Able to work independently, accept challenges and meet commitment and deadlines
  • Business integrity, maturity, acumen, professionalism, energy, and teamwork spirit.

Mobility

  • Good mobility between Shanghai Jinqiao and Kunshan office
  • 10% Travel (mostly domestic within China)
